Second album review is from Jónsi's "Go"

Jónsi, the singer of icelandic band Sigur Rós, did a solo project. Every title of his album is a masterpiece of itself. Jónsi did an amazing job, he said before that his solo cd should be only a accoustic record, but soon it developed to something more, something special and as he said, at some point it exploded.
And what a hell of an explosion!

The most beautiful song for my liking is "Tornado". It's such a touching and emotional song. The studio album and the accoustic version, whatever you are listening to, this song goes right through your heart and melts it the same second that it touches you.
"Kolnidur" is another outstanding song with Jónsis angelic voice and heavy rhythmic drums. As well as "Grow til tal" which is live even more bombastic as the album versions shows it to be.
"Boy Lilikoi" and "Go Do" are refreshing songs with a lot of young wild energy.

I had the honor to visit the live concert of Jónsi in berlin, columbiahalle. As like the two concerts of Sigur Rós that I was glad to visit, his solo project was something very special and outstanding. He combined visual effects, music and art. I will post a report of the concert later. but I can say you, I will never forget this evening. Jónsi made it special and unforgettable. Like leaving earth for 2 hours.

Another new record I'm drowning myself into is the Soundtrack to the Motion Picture Movie "We bought a zoo" by Cameron Crowe, strring Matt Damon and Scarlett Johansson.
The soundtrack was produced and composed by no other than Icelandic musician Jón Þór "Jónsi" Birgisson, the lead singer of the band Sigur Rós.
