Seles Leaves Court, Steps Onto Dance Floor
Twelve celebrities - six men and six women - will attempt to outshine one another on a sixth season of the hit series, Dancing with the Stars, which returns on Monday, March 17 on ABC. The Season Six cast includes some of our most lauded stars yet: an Academy Award winner, a Tony Award winner, an Olympic Gold medalist, a nine-time Grand Slam tennis champion and the NFL's current Man of the Year.
In alphabetical order, the twelve stars making their ballroom dancing debut are TV and radio personality Adam Carolla; international film and TV star Cristian de la Fuente; actress and model Shannon Elizabeth; actor Steve Guttenberg; R&B/pop singer and actor Mario; Academy Award-winning actress Marlee Matlin; Penn Jillette, one half of the famous illusionist team Penn & Teller; actress, producer and entrepreneur Priscilla Presley; Sony Ericsson WTA Tour legend Monica Seles; NFL Man of the Year Jason Taylor; Tony Award-winner Marissa Jaret Winokur; and Olympic figure skating gold medalist Kristi Yamaguchi.
Hosted by Tom Bergeron (America's Funniest Home Videos) and Samantha Harris (E! Entertainment), the celebrities will perform dance routines which will be judged by renowned Ballroom judge Len Goodman and dancer/choreographers Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba. Dancing with the Stars is the American version of the international smash hit series, Strictly Come Dancing. Dancing with the Stars is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1 channel surround sound and Spanish audio via SAP. In the first late-night talk show interview with a member of the Season Six cast, Jimmy Kimmel welcomes Marissa Jaret Winokur on Thursday, February 21, on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live.
