you are welcome
okay, i thought about some basic stuff
so you had french in school already, i suppose we can leave out saying "hello" and "bye" then
some phrases:
how are you? - Comment ça va? -- or just -- ça va?
doing okay - ça va
where are you from? - d'où viens-tu ?
where are you from? (formal) - D'où venez-vous ?
i am from ... - je viens de ...
where do you live? - Où habites-tu ?
formal: Où habitez-vous ?
i live in ... - J'habite à ...
what's your name? - Comment tu t'appelles?
formal: Comment vous vous appelez?
my name is ... - Je m'appelle ...
okay, some verbes for conjugating:
to be - être
i am - je suis
you are - tu es
he/she/it is - il/elle/on est (but "on" isn't the french counterpart for "it", it's more like another form for "we")
plural:
we are - nous sommes
you are - vous êtes
they are - ils/elles sont
to have - avoir
i have - j'ai
you have - tu as
he/she/it has - il/elles/on a
plural:
we have - nous avons
you have - vous avez
they have - ils/elles ont
oh, well, that's just a start...i'm sure you already knew those things, i soon will continue
